October 15 Important Testing Information
Remember to print and bring a copy of your student’s schedule to conferences.
All teachers will be located in the commons and gymnasiums.
PARKING at PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES
When attending conferences, please park in the front of the school or in the east lot located east of the school. Additional parking is available in our senior parking lot located in the northwest corner behind the school. The lot at the UCC center will not be available due to evening classes.
NOTE: Parker and Douglas County law enforcement has informed CHS that all vehicles must be legally parked in our lots or in the allowed designated areas in the neighborhood otherwise risk being ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense.
Information about Activity buses for the 2008-09 school year
Board approves bond and budget question for November 2008 election The combined cost of the fixed 4 mil bond and budget measure is 33 cents a day on the average Douglas County home valued at $372,000. DCSD recently implemented a $21 million reduction to its 2008-09 budget. Without added funding, an additional $10 million in reductions will be required in the 2009-10 school year. Rising fuel costs, healthcare costs, utilities, the need to continue to build new schools, along with other factors, will limit our School District’s ability to fund programs and resources at the level we have in the past.
Access Student Information via the web (Parent/Student Access to Infinite Campus) Reminder to the Community: During school hours, all visitors are required to show identification in order to enter Chaparral High School. Thank you for your patience in helping keep students safe. As communicated last year, this is just a friendly reminder that we are no longer mailing out progress grades. To check your student’s current progress, please log onto Infinite Campus. Parents will receive printed versions of progress grades at mid-semester in October and March. Semester grades will also be printed and mailed in December and May.
Infinite Campus Update The Grade Book and Missing Assignments modules are now open and available via the Parent Portal. Parents must complete the verification form that is downloadable from the link above or available in the Main Office. The form must be turned into the school in person and a valid driver’s license or identification must be presented to receive your GUID number that will allow you access to your students’ information.
